When Plaxico Burress returns to the NFL… Maybe I should say if Plaxico Burress gets the chance to return to the NFL, the market for him will be interesting. You have to wonder how long it will take to shake off two and a half years of rust. You also have to wonder if he will get insane ex-con treatment that others including Michael Vick and Maurice Clarett have gotten.
When Plaxico left the game he was one of the elite receivers. He was leading the Giants to another Super Bowl and he was on top of the world. One thing about humility is that sometimes it makes us greater. Plaxico has had a lot of time to sit around and find himself. He has also had time to search the annals of which greatness can occur. The man was once a Super Bowl hero, a giant of sorts who led a team to an improbable Super Bowl victory over the undefeated New England Patriots.
