Sometimes Its Better To Let Sleeping Dogs Lie: Sergio Garcia Should Learn This

Sergio Garcia opened up a can of worms by calling out Tiger Woods on Saturday after they played together for 14 holes. Sergio accused Tiger of poor etiquette when Woods, who was standing more than sixty yards away from Sergio, reached in his bag and pulled out a five wood

Will We See The Real Tiger Woods At The Chevron

Tiger Woods was asked in a recent interview who he felt like the greatest golfer in the world is. Woods replied: “When I get my swing dialed in, it’s me.” Wait a minute Tiger; are you starting to believe that you are great again?

Will Tiger Ever Get His Groove Back

A lot of people in America and the rest of the world are engaged in wishful thinking these days regarding Eldrick T. Woods. To hear them tell it, he has shanked one of his greatest attributes on a golf course: INTIMIDATION. No longer, they say, will others shiver at just the thought of Tiger wearing red on Sunday.

So Woods has eternally lost his big-and-bad ways?

I'm not buying it, and neither should you.

Cam Newton’s Just Not Ready…Yet

Watching Cam Newton play traditional quarterback for the Carolina Panthers this pre season showed lot’s of promise. Newton made some good throws, some good runs, and some good decisions. However the bad outweighed the good in my honest opinion. Learning how to play quarterback in a traditional manner will take some time. How much time depends on how hard this young man is willing to work.

As of now, there is no doubt in my mind that Derrick Anderson is the better answer at quarterback. Anderson is a proven veteran and Newton could learn a lot about the position watching and practicing. Things and people move very fast on the NFL playing field. It takes time to get used to doing something different than you are used to. Let’s take a look at a few quarterbacks from various offensive styles in college and look at how they fair in the NFL now.

People don’t remember that Aaron Rodgers was a spread quarterback in college. At California Rodgers ran the spread using his athletic ability and versatility similar to Newton. Rodgers came in the league and was able to sit absorb the coaching and finally live up to being what everyone thought he could be.

Give Me A Call Tiger The Fix Is Simple

As I sat and watched this the other night I thought that Brandel Chamblee nailed it. What Brandel can't say (that I can) is Sean Foley is arrogant. Quite frankly this is the last kind of influence Tiger needs at this point. It should be noted that Brandel has a great deal of admiration and respect for Tiger which he also makes clear on this edition of "Live at" and has over the years. His comments about Tiger's tenacity were also right on. There is "no give up in Tiger".

Arrogance is a very dangerous character flaw in any game. I warned Woods of this earlier in the year. The Gods punish it routinely as one of the best players I ever met once told me, "I've been around these championships for a long time and while there are still a lot of things I don't know about the game the one thing I do know is that the second you get cocky about the game the game has a way of cutting you down to size in a most embarrassing way"... seen it hundreds of times. You are not responsible for the thought, but you are responsible for what you do with it. I can speak from experience that humility works well in Golf.

It almost looked like it was hurting Brandel to say what he had to say. In this day and age when so much commentary is painfully PC it is refreshing to hear Brandel go off and speak his mind.
