Stevie Johnson is right, Why is everyone so serious in the NFL? First you are playing a game for a living. Yeah you should play it to the fullest and yes you should try to win but these guys get paid a kings ransom to play a child's game. So what you weren't targeted this week, maybe you won't be targeted next week, the question is Did you do your job, and can your team depend on you?
Of course everyone wants a big pay day. Of course everyone wants to be a star. But ask yourself, why didn't any balls come my way? Am I open? Can I still do it? Are they doubling me? If you have an answer to all of those questions and that answer is yes, then what are you complaining about.
Some players act like its the end of the world when a streak comes to an end. My logic is simple, if the team has to go out of the way to make sure your streak doesn't end, the record you are chasing probably really doesn't matter anyways. The person who set the record set it being relevant. You may ask hey Joe, Why the rant? It's simple, records are made to be broken, records are also to be obtained when you are still relevant.
