The Dallas Cowboys Have The Worst Offensive Line In The NFL

As I have watched preseason football games this year I have noticed that there are a few teams with suspect offensive line play.  Some teams standout because they are high profile teams. Others are just building on what they had a year ago and you can see the light at the end of the tunnel.

Check Your Fandom At The Door: Super Bowl 45 Is In Jerry's House

Many of you, like myself, have no dog in this fight but we all recognize what it takes to become a great team and compete for a championship. It takes luck, talent, and a few balls to bounce your way to make it to the big dance.

The two teams that are playing may not be the two most attractive team’s football wise, but they both have history of winning. There are several people who may have had the Packers in their Super Bowl picks, including myself, but there were very few people who weren’t Steelers fans that could have seen this coming. No way have they started out this way with the departure of Santonio Holmes for a six piece McNuggets and a sweet tea to the Jets. No way would they continue to play great without their starting quarterback who was suspended for childish acts and irresponsibility.

Both teams had obstacles to clear, as injuries have handicapped both teams for most of the season. The Packers lost their number one running back, tight end, and offensive lineman in the first three weeks of the season. The Steelers gave away their best wide receiver, and released their starting running back into the abyss, while revamping its offensive line starting a new center and signing a believed to be washed up Flozell Adams. Its funny how Adams has spent all of these years as a Cowboy and now he has a chance to get a ring as a Steeler. My story was going to be about Flozell's Homecoming...(That’s a story for another day).

The 5 Reasons the Dallas Cowboys Should Be Concerned In 2010

Updated on Tuesday, October 26, 2010 at 9:38AM by Registered CommenterJoe Simmons

The Dallas Cowboys have looked like a very ordinary team this off season. They haven’t looked at any point in the pre season like a team that is ready to erupt. Of course it’s pre season, and of course they are keeping it as we say in coaching terms “vanilla”, but you should still see some signs of explosive capability in all three phases of the game at some point.

The Cowboys weren’t that active in preseason roster moves and the only major additions to the team were through the draft. As a lifelong Cowboys fan it pains me to see some of the things that I have seen this off-season. When I started blogging I said that I would call things the way I see them without any bias.

So here is my take on the 5 reasons the Cowboys should be concerned in 2010:

1. The Kicking Game is unproven. Letting Nick Folk go last year made since because he had lost his confidence and needed a change of scenery. The Cowboys didn’t address this issue in the draft or free agency; they chose to address it by promoting kickoff specialist David Buehler. He has not been a field goal kicker at any point in his professional career and has not had to even handle the pressures of clutch kicking in college either. Having an unproven kicker can cost you many games in the NFL.
