This week I was finally able to get back on television. Calling the Southern and Middle Creek game for Carolina On Demand was an awesome experience. Not as good as being on ESPN but it was nice to get some exposure.
Being on television and radio are always a blast. I love what I do at NCCU and I have hopes of our broadcast becoming bigger and better than ever before.
It's good to finally get to do things in life that you have always wanted to do. I am a fan of sports and this blog and my alma mater have paved the way for me to do things that I could have only dreamed of a few years ago.
As I look back over the avenues in my life it's exciting to be able to do things that you really want to do. I haven't let barriers or inexperience slow my road to what I want to do. I handle critisizm well and it has made me a better in about everything that I pursue.
Now comes the big test. It's time for me to take my game to another level. That means preparation and dedication to the cause. I go hard for North Carolina Central when I am on the air. I also go hard for all of the contracted work that I do. Now my preparation has to go to another level. If you want to be seen or heard you have to be good and personable.
I have to admit that I haven't always been the most personable guy in the room, but I have never not given a proper opinion when warranted. This year can be big for my career as I hope to take big steps and continue to move in the right direction.
