It Finally Happened...Rondo Found A Jumpshot

I have been saying for the past two seasons that Rajon Rondo would be the best point guard in the business if he found a jumpshot. Well last night America got a glance at how dangerous it would be if Rondo could knock down a jumper with consistency.

The man can get anywhere on the floor and even though he is a pass first guy, he gets into the paint and causes havoc all game long. However he is a bit of a liability because you can drop off of him and double team other shooters and post players.

But what if.....??? What if Rondo could become consistent with his jumpshot? What if he was able to be a legit shooter at about 44% from the perimeter? Who could guard him? How much more valuable could he be. Rondo made the leap to being one of the elite guards in the league the past few seasons.

Adding to his game only increases his value and makes you wonder why the Celtics are looking to trade him year after year. All I know is that the NBA's worst fears would be Rondo shooting it like he did in last nights Eastern Conference Finals on a consistent basis.

If rondo would get his FT% up and work on that mid range jumper just like you said it would be d@@n near impossible to guard.. That's why I knock him a lil bit because unlike how Rose and Westbrook worked on their mid range Rondo seems to refuse to do the same. I hope the light bulb went off for Young Rondo.
