Bob McAdoo's Daughter Making A Name For Herself

Rasheeda McAdoo on the Right

When you think McAdoo, immediately the word basketball comes to mind. Bob McAdoo was a great hooper and just happens to be a native of North Carolina. One of my best friends and golf buddies grew up with Bob McAdoo and even though I have met him and spent some time around Bob, I feel like I know everything about the man from the stories that are told when he comes to town.

This post isn't about the great Bob McAdoo, but about his daughter Rasheeda McAdoo. Rasheeda is a sixteen year old phenom of a tennis player in the state of Florida. In fact she can boast being the best tennis player in the state as she won both the Florida singles and doulbes titles this year.

The American Heritage High School star is an awesome tennis player. She frequently competes and has put together quite a resume for herself. Tennis has also become a big deal for Bob McAdoo as he often looks for a tennis opponent when he comes home to North Carolina for the holidays or just to visit.

There is a lot of speculation on whether or not she will turn pro as a player but I am sure college is on the agenda as she drew the attention of some of the 70 college scouts in attendance during her finals competition, including a North Carolina coach who stopped by to chat with her dad.

Regardless of where she goes to school, remember the name. Rasheeda McAdoo looks like she could be the next big thing in Tennis.
