Once again the Bull City inbox has been lit up with a gem. This mixtape comes correct and is probably one of the best that I have heard this spring.  One of South Carolina’s brightest and most hard working musical talents, Curt Rivera, is releasing his highly anticipated third mixtape entitled “Become Legendary”.

Rivera comes correct and is ready to drop his style like a shawty getting low to the 808. It’s hard to put a label on his style but that's a good thing because the hip hop industry is flooded with copy cat artists biting each others style. His flow is a little mesmerizing as well.

Once again the Bull City Inbox has been lit up with another hit. Today’s artist you should know is Tae Bae Bae. Residing in Florida, you can definitely tell it’s a bottom track as soon as you hear the chorus and base line. The joint is so hot that I had four requests in the inbox and one of my homies hit me with a text telling me to check him out.

There is no question that Tae Bae Bae is the voice of Tampa, FL with his lyrical abilities infused with real life testimonies. Tae has always had music in his veins, he first fell in love with music at the young age of 9 years old making his own mixtapes from the radio and recording his voice over them. Growing up fast in the Tampa streets Tae was faced with serious decisions that forced him to put music aside in order to provide for his family.

As we stroll through the Bull City Inbox, we have stumbled upon another artist from the Tarheel state who is making strides in the music world. The kid's name is Godfrey Eason and he is on the rise. Very seldom is there a young emcee that will get the head moving and the feet tapping but young Mr. Eason is making that happen. 

His first release is out and he is ready to take on all that the music world has to offer. His music is soulful and has a real precense. The beats on this thing are just simply amazing as well as they have a heavy impact on his style. The versatility of his flow is apparent as he takes on the challenges of mixing beats on some tracks and taking his tempo and range from fast to slow and high to low. 

Here at Bull City we have been on vacation for a week but we have now returned and found a few bangers in our inbox. Today we review Mic Mang. Mang has been reviewed previously on our site and now he has released another mixtape, The Stereotype.

For an opening I was a bit skeptical when listening to this joint. Had me thinking that Mic was about to take a twist to the dark side or something but then he cut loose in the second verse and all was well again.

Almost all of the music that makes its way into the Bull City inbox comes directly from the artist or the producers of an artist. This time the music request came from fans of Praverb. Interestingly enough I was already pretty familiar with Praverb’s music as we follow each other on twitter. Every time he puts something out I marvel at his style and instrumental selections. He’s risky with his samples and I like it. So I decided that with fan persuasion it was time to let loose Fredricksburg’s best kept secret.

Here is what we know about him. His real name is Patrick. (I know because I follow on twitter). He was born in Charleston, South Carolina and now resides in Fredricksburg, Virginia. He has been in the rap game for about 12 years and is starting to get a lot of love from people who are recognizing what he is lyrically capable of.

As I rumble through the Bull City Inbox as I have had a few days to settle my mind I stumble on an Em Cee who had me bouncing from the first track. This dude goes hard and hails right here from the Bull City. At first I have to admit that when I heard him I thought someone was playing a prank as dude sounds just like Busta Rhymes. Then I went in listening hard to the tracks he provided on his website. 

I went through the tracks on the site and I was throughly impressed. I gave a small review of each of the tracks that I listened too.

Once again as I go through the email box, another group has come through and dropped some real flavor on us. Today’s group comes to you live from North Cack. The group one way ticket features Brandon Smith aka ‘Buddah’ and his partner Tony Bowers aka ‘L.E.L.O.’ (Living Every Lyric Out) who can spit with the best of them. The two come together and bring you a NeoSoul flavor that will ignite your passion for the rap game once again.

The group dropped a dope album that I can’t stop playing. Yeah I got it early but no leaks here. The joint is called “Going Green” and is one of the dopest joints I heard all year. The group blends together and gives you a refreshing view of street knowledge and history that isn’t forced and also makes you want to dance.

Once again in the inbox I have stumbled on an Em Cee who can put it down with anyone. I am usually skeptical when reviewing music from random artists but then I noticed the brother was down with the twitter homie Nerd Ferguson so I knew he had to spit fire. Man was I right. 

The rappers name is DeFakto. He is an artist from VA who has been immersed in emceeing for many years.  He is also ¼ of the hip-hop crew Box & Won.  You may be familiar with some of the members of the group: Nerd Ferguson (emcee/producer), Prince G. (emcee/beat-maker) and LR (emcee).  As a collective, they have released one full-length street release called The Box-Out to very good reception.

You often wonder how most emcees get started in the game. DeFakto is no different than any other group out there. When asked his response was:

This week I have continued cleaning out my inbox with new music and realized that I had a few hits that I have definitely overlooked. As a man of the people I make it my mission to bring people the sounds that I know they want to hear. Todays Artist you should know is a young artist by the name of Sol. 

At first glance I didn't pay a lot of attention to the music of this young man because his name hadn't generated any buzz in the underground. Man was I wrong, this kid has a sick flow that has the head banging as he drops sick bars that keep the head spinning.

His joint 2020 had me hitting replay about four times before I decided to go ahead and post. When I turned it up in my headphones I looked around and everyone had the head bounce going, that's when I knew for sure it was a head banger.
